Details: Please wear comfortable, appropriate clothing as this is an active course. If you have any physical or special educational needs please let me know as we can try and make the course inclusive for anyone.

COVID-19: We have a lot of systems in place to ensure that you are safe on our courses. If you have had any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, including a new or persistent cough, a temperature over 37.8 degrees or a loss of smell or taste please do not attend the course. If you are living with someone who is isolating please could you do a lateral flow test on the morning of the course. Assessment: As part of our new COVID-19 procedures we have moved to paperless assessments. You will take your test on your SMARTPHONE, if you don't have one please let us know and we will bring a tablet for you. It is a multiple choice assessment - this is nothing to worry about as everything is covered on the course. Please note that the course is taught in and also assessed in English. This can be done verbally as we can make reasonable adjustments to the course but the student must understand the subject matter. Some of the practical skills need to be performed on the floor, kneeling down. If you have any injuries or physical problems that may inhibit you from doing this please advise us before joining the course as this may prevent you from passing it.

Manuals: We provide all attendees with a manual at the start of the course - everything covered is in the manuals so there isn't a need to take notes, however if you wish to, there is room at the back of the manuals.

Refreshments: There are no refreshments provided on the day. Please bring what you need with you or you can buy food and drink from the hotel.

Our instructor was fantastic, blending the large amount of information with conversation and questions that engaged us all. He clearly has a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from, and answered all the questions put to him appropriately and concisely. I think the way we were taught works really well, with Paul weaving a bit of humour into what could otherwise be a somewhat dry course given the time it takes. I felt like I’d been in the training room for an hour or so, not 6! Really impressed overall with our instructor, I’ve had first aid courses before which drag on, but Paul made it something I would whole-heartedly recommend to my colleagues and my mates. Thank you very much!
