My experiences working for the NHS mean that I am a whole-hearted believer that the first few minutes of any medical incident or accident are the most important. Knowing what to do and acting promptly can mean the difference between life and death. First Aid is an important skill to have not just in the work place but at home. Each learner will receive a training book to supplement the Emergency First Aid at Work course. What we cover Responsibilities and reporting Assessment of the situation Dealing with an unresponsive casualty Anatomy Resuscitation - CPR Basic Hygiene in First Aid Burns Epilepsy Minor injuries Bleeding Choking I am passionate about providing people with the confidence and knowledge to act promptly in an emergency - to be able to give a person in crisis the best chance of survival. Hopefully you will never need to use the safeguarding skills and knowledge you acquire. However, in the event that you do, can you really afford not to know what to do?
