Learn the essentials of First Aid for rugby clubs and be prepared to respond confidently to injuries and emergencies both on and off the pitch.
The Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 for Rugby Clubs (VTQ)™ – Classroom Blended Part 2 course is the practical, classroom-based element of our blended Emergency First Aid at Work training, specifically tailored for those involved in the rugby community.
Important: Before attending this Classroom Blended Part 2 course, learners must successfully complete Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 for Rugby Clubs (VTQ)™ – Online Blended Part 1. Both parts must be successfully completed to achieve the full qualification.
The course has been designed to meet current HSE requirements for Emergency First Aid at Work training while incorporating first aid scenarios and considerations relevant to rugby. The blended approach allows learners to develop their underpinning knowledge online before attending the classroom session, where they can put that knowledge into practice and demonstrate the required practical first aid skills.
The training is suitable for a wide range of people within the rugby community, including coaches, players, club staff, volunteers and others involved in the sport. Learners will develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to respond effectively to common first aid emergencies and injuries that may occur both on and off the pitch.
During Classroom Blended Part 2, learners will take part in practical training and assessment, reinforcing the knowledge gained during Online Blended Part 1 and applying it to realistic first aid situations.
On successful completion of both the online and classroom elements, learners will receive certification valid for three years. To maintain their qualification, learners will need to complete appropriate Emergency First Aid at Work requalification training before their certificate expires.
First aid skills are valuable not only within a rugby environment but also in everyday life. By combining flexible online learning with practical classroom training, this course provides rugby clubs and their members with the skills and confidence to respond when someone needs help.
