The Online Emergency First Aid at Work for Drivers Level 3 (VTQ) course (EFAW) Part One is a CPD-certified qualification. All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured in line with the latest HSE guidance and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work Regulations 1981 and all subsequent updates.

All our first aid courses fully comply with the latest UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines, as required by the HSE. This course meets the requirements for Driver CPC periodic training when processed and audited through a DVSA-approved Driver CPC centre (formerly JAUPT-approved). ProTrainings Vocational Training Qualifications (VTQ) are fully recognised by the HSE as Trade Body Qualifications.

This course must include a minimum of 7 contact hours, delivered over at least one day, and the certificate remains valid for 3 years. To renew your qualification, you will need to complete a further 7-hour EFAW course.

In May 2016, the HSE and Awarding Organisations confirmed that computer-based blended learning is permitted for all workplace first aid qualifications. You can now choose to complete your Emergency First Aid at Work course in a blended format, with approximately 2 hours of online learning followed by 4 hours of classroom training. This approach allows you to complete the theory at your own pace before attending the practical session with your instructor.

Our blended EFAW course meets all HSE and Awarding Organisation requirements and is available as either a ProTrainings VTQ or a regulated qualification.

This qualification is recognised across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and is accepted in many other countries.

Backed by years of experience in online, blended and classroom training, ProTrainings offers a modern, engaging and cost-effective approach—reducing costs without compromising quality.

All candidates completing our EFAW courses receive access to our video library to refresh their knowledge and reinforce key skills.

The HSE strongly recommend that all first aiders complete annual refresher training, and our online refresher course meets this requirement.

The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
