This Level 2 Regulated Course is tailored to suit all sorts of situations that could arise during sporting activities.


The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners knowledge and practical skills to enable them to recognise and respond to appropriate actions when sports injuries occur. The qualification is aimed at learners who have achieved a level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid and wish to apply this in a sports context
Please be advised that the classroom course has a minimum age requirement of 16.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
This is the classroom-only part 2 of a 2-part blended course. Before taking this course, you MUST complete the online course.
This course gives learners the opportunity to gain a formally recognised regulated qualification. If you require funding, a regulated qualification is often required. Phone us and we can advise if needed. If you choose our course leading to a regulated qualification, there are additional assessment criteria to be undertaken with an instructor and a small extra certification charge.

2.3 describe the signs and symptoms of traumatic injuries incurred in sport
2.4 describe an injury recognition routine
2.5 differentiate between major and minor injuries
2.6 explain when to refer injuries to medical personnel
2.7 explain how to refer injuries to medical personnel
3 understand common illnesses incurred during sporting activity
3.1 identify common illnesses incurred during sporting activity
3.2 describe the signs and symptoms of illnesses incurred during sport
3.3 differentiate between major and minor illnesses
3.4 explain when to refer illnesses to medical personnel

4 be able to assess the seriousness of the injury and prescribe the correct course of action
