Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a progressive and rare condition that leads to problems with movement, balance, speech, vision and swallowing caused by increasing numbers of cells in the brain becoming damaged over time. Most cases of PSP develop in the over 60's age groups.
There are around 4000 people living with PSP in the UK according to the PSP Association but this figure could be much higher as many of the symptoms are misdiagnosed.
We developed this course with Healthwatch Essex, medical professionals and by filming people with PSP to see how they manage their condition. This course looks at the facts about PSP and looks at the lived experience of patients on how the condition affects them which makes this course unique.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
