Qualify as an Emergency First Responder and learn all of the vital skills you may need to use with ProTrainings Course.
The FAQ Level 3 Award in Immediate Response Emergency Care (RQF) provides learners with the essential skills, knowledge, and understanding to deliver safe, effective, and timely immediate care at events before the arrival of the ambulance service.
Developed following the findings of the Manchester Arena Inquiry, this qualification reinforces the importance of the Three Ps of emergency care:
Preserve life, Prevent deterioration, and Promote recovery.
This course is designed for those working or preparing to work in the events sector, security industry, and related roleswhere prompt emergency care may be required. It fully meets the staffing recommendations outlined in the Purple Guidefor Health, Safety and Welfare at Outdoor Events, and aligns with the standards set by the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) for regulated first aid training.
The qualification sits at Category D on the FPHC PHEM Skills Framework, identifying the learner as a nationally certificated, non-healthcare pre-hospital provider delivering care as a secondary function. This includes roles such as specialist police officers, fire service IEC personnel, UKSAR responders, and enhanced community first responders.
Please note that this qualification is not a licence to practise. All interventions must fall within your organisation’s agreed scope of practice, policies, and operational procedures.
