Carrie delivered brilliant training as always

I’ve done this course with Carrie a couple of times before this one and absolutely loved it. This time was so different. I felt flustered when I arrived as I couldn’t find the room and there were no instructions on the email. HUC staff were walking round helping me find it. During the practical the instructor kept watching everyone else and walked past me a lot. I didn’t know why. She then kept saying “I haven’t seen you do anything!” in front of everyone. I had practised along with everyone else and the doctor next to me saw it. It was so embarrassing when she kept saying she hadn’t seen anything. At the end I appreciated her giving up her time to go through the techniques with me. But I was on the cusp of failing because on the baby mannequin the chest didn’t rise as much with the pocket masks as with the BVM. Despite me having shown the technique on adult and child she was saying it still wasn’t enough. On other courses we haven’t used pocket masks so this seemed strict. With a pocket mask in a baby mannequin you have to have the head in the wrong position to make it work and blow much more forcefully than would be safe in real life. On other courses we don’t do a written test either. I would not do another Pro Trainings course as there is a much higher chance of failing than on other courses and I found myself feeling humiliated several times.
